Adoptable Pets

  • Edie - F, 4 yrs, Spayed

Meet our shy girl, Edie! She arrived at Jasper & GeeGee’s as part of an owner surrender, with her brother Greg. At first they were both very hesitant about their new surroundings, but Greg pushed through and started coming out for treats and play time. Edie relied on him to show her the way, and eventually she too began venturing out to scope out the joint.

Two months into their residency, Greg was diagnosed with a fatal kidney condition. He passed away shortly after, but Edie kept him company until the end of the line. Her grieving period was emotionally exhausting, but she slowly began to warm up to the idea of a new friend. Now, she is looking for someone with a heart as bright as hers to take a chance on her.

Edie will require a patient adopter who is willing to give her time to adjust. She’d prefer to land in a bachelor pad, but she could warm up to the idea of a mom. She’s easily frightened and very hesitant when it comes to other animals, so she’s looking for a home with no other pets. Edie is also not good with children, so a single cat-dad or a couple is her ideal place to be!

  • Church - F, 1 yr, Spayed (FIV+)

Meet Church! This firecracker lady came to Jasper & GeeGee’s after an unexpected FIV diagnosis.

Church was found as a stray, hiding an early pregnancy. Though she quickly got the medical care she needed! The owners of Jasper & GeeGee’s brought her home after she recovered from her surgery in hopes of adding her to their growing family. However, at her vet check-up, Church tested positive for FIV.

This little girl never let her diagnosis stop her. She is just bursting with love! Seriously, she’ll circle you and rub up on your ankles like there’s no tomorrow.

Church does not need medicine for her condition, and it does not affect her life expectancy. She is tiny, but mighty.

She’s looking for a home with no other cats, or one with other FIV positive kitties. She’s non-aggressive and just wants pets and cuddles all day long. We’re not sure about how she does with dogs as she can be a bit skittish, but we feel fairly confident she’d be a good fit for a home with children.

Owner- To-Owner Rehoming

An owner-to-owner rehoming means that a pet will go directly from their current home to their adopter. Jasper & GeeGee’s does not, at any point, accept these pets into our care. This means that the current owner or the adopter assume sole responsibility for the animal’s health and the truthful representation of its’ circumstances. An adoption fee is not charged for the pets listed in this section.

Max — M, 1yr, Neutered

Max is a 1.5 year old Russian Blue mix looking for his perfect home. He is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on his essential vaccinations. This sweet boy loves to snuggle with his human and explore his spaces. He is large for his breed, making him the perfect weighted blanket.

Max does not do well with dogs, but he is okay with most other cats.

Do you think Max is your forever friend? Contact us at jasperandgeegees@gmail.com and we will forward your message to his current owner.

Adoption Fees:

Adoption fees support the operation of Jasper & GeeGee’s by helping us off-set the costs we incur during the residency of our adoptable pets. Many animals come into our care needing significant medical help, unusual accommodations or diets, or requiring extensive introductory care  in the form of spay/neuter procedures and brand new vaccination documents. Charging an adoption fee ensures that we are able to continue the care of the animals in residency, and provides opportunities for future placements.

All adoptable pets come fully vetted with the basics, such as vaccination records, and fully vetted for any medical conditions known to us and developed before the time of adoption. Most pets are only made adoptable after a spay/neuter procedure. However, some pets are considered ineligible by us to receive this procedure during their residency. The exclusions are puppies and kittens younger than 12 weeks old, small animals (rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils), reptiles, and select farm animals. The spay/neuter guidelines prior to adoption are subject to change based on the pet and veterinarian recommendation.

  • Puppies: $275
